How to complete a review and submit your score and recommendation.

Scoring Applications

Completing a review is quick and straightforward. Here's how to assess an application and submit your evaluation.

Opening a Submission for Review

From your reviewer dashboard, click on a program to see its submission list. Click any submission to open the full application. You'll see the applicant's complete responses to all form fields, along with the review panel on the right (or below on smaller screens).

Reading the Application

Take the time to read the application thoroughly before scoring. Scroll through each step of the form to see all answers. If the application includes file uploads, you can download them directly from the submission view.

Completing the Review Form

The review panel contains three fields:

  1. Score (0–10) — Your overall numerical rating. Use the full range to differentiate applications. A score of 10 is exceptional; a score of 0 means the application does not meet the program's criteria.
  2. Notes — Your qualitative assessment. Share specific observations, strengths, weaknesses, and the reasoning behind your score. The organization may use your notes to communicate with applicants, so write clearly and professionally.
  3. Recommendation — Choose one of three options:

- Recommend — You believe this application should be supported

- Neutral — You see merit but have reservations, or the decision could go either way

- Do Not Recommend — You do not believe this application meets the program's goals

Submitting Your Review

Once you've filled in all three fields, click Submit Review. Your review is saved and cannot be edited after submission. If you realize you need to make a correction, contact the organization administrator.

Pacing Your Reviews

If you have many applications to review, consider doing them in batches. Use the Next and Previous buttons to work through submissions sequentially. Your submitted reviews are automatically saved, so you can stop and return at any time.
