Downloading Questions for Offline Work

Many applicants prefer to draft their answers in a word processor or share questions with collaborators before entering them into the online form. Applly makes this easy.

How to Download Application Questions

From the application form page, look for the Download Questions (PDF) link near the top of the form. Clicking this generates a PDF document containing:

  • All field labels and questions across every step
  • Whether each field is required
  • Any helper text or instructions provided by the organization
  • File upload specifications (accepted formats, size limits)

This PDF is for reference only — you cannot submit answers through it. You'll need to return to the online form to enter and submit your responses.

Tips for Working Offline

When preparing your answers offline:

  1. Write your long text answers in a word processor first. This gives you spell-check, formatting tools, and the ability to easily share drafts with colleagues or mentors.
  2. Prepare your supporting files — if the application requires file uploads (CVs, work samples, budgets), have these ready before you sit down to complete the form.
  3. Check the character or word limits — some text fields have maximum length limits noted in the question. The PDF download will indicate any such limits.
  4. Budget table fields — if the form includes a budget table, review the categories required and prepare your figures in a spreadsheet before entering them online.

Once your answers are ready, log in to Applly, open the application, and paste your prepared text into the appropriate fields.
